About the Montreal Ska Festival
The administrators of the Montreal Ska Festival believe that, following the first annual Montreal Ska Festival, 2009 will be remembered as a turning point for ska music in Montreal by local musicians and fans alike. The Montreal Ska Society's primary focus is to see the Montreal Ska Festival flourish into an established attraction, sought-after by both artists and music fans from Montreal and abroad.
About the Montreal Ska Society
The Montreal Ska Society is a non-profit organization founded in 2008. The MTLSS is committed to the promotion and advancement of ska, reggae, and Jamaican-influenced music in Montreal, in Quebec, and beyond, and promotes independent, local and international artists and musicians who play Jamaican-influenced music, including, but not limited to, ska, reggae, rocksteady, calypso, dancehall, soul, punk, and rock n’ roll.
The Montreal Ska Festival is an initiative of the Montreal Ska Society.
