2010 Montreal Ska Festival

The Montreal Ska Festival is an initiative of the Montreal Ska Society, a non-profit organization founded in 2008 and committed to the promotion and advancement of local ska, reggae, and Jamaican-influenced music including but not limited to ska, reggae, rocksteady, calypso, dancehall, soul, punk and rock n’ roll. The Society hopes to help and support up and coming artists of the aforementined genres and styles in broadening the scope of their activities. In order to do so, the Montreal Ska Society organizes concerts, gatherings and other events where people come together to share their love of music.

Being a young, volunteer-run, non-profit organization means that the success of the Montreal Ska Society's mission is largely based on the generosity of its supporters.
